It’s not a bad place to live. Respect the rules and regulations and of course the staff. Is the place dated? Yes. But updated too. Enjoyed the pool! Saw a roadrunner running around on a Sunday afternoon. Few tips: Respectfully, clean your apartment with pinesol. Bugs don’t like that. Smile and be a good neighbor. A smile is understood by every culture. Clean up after yourself at the pool, laundry or mailroom. Of course clean up after your pet. My pet is registered as an emotional support pet because I’m a little crazy. My pet is too. I could have hidden her since she’s very skiddish. Then what would I have done when my sink broke and the blue shirt crew came in and replaced it all very quickly? Actually the office staff at the islands apartments told me about registering my pet when we toured there. Costs $110 a year. I would have only given them 3 stars because of what I saw there. No apartment complex is going to be perfect. If you are looking for perfect, don’t bother with an apartment anywhere. The new grocery/cafe across the street is worth a visit. Steak ranchero is my favorite. Give them a try! If you smoke, smoke as far away as possible because smoke travels.

I took a tour yesterday. ALL of the Office Staff were very polite & friendly. I liked how they take PRIDE in their work- and I could tell they actually CARE about their residents. I particularly liked Daysie- she has a great attitude and I felt very comfortable talking with her. The location isn't going to work for me but based upon my tour, I'd recommend this for an affordable community. ...- they're doing a good job managing the complex and the clientele that live there. I would/could recommend that they require the residents have more discretion on what they have outside their doors (neighbors don't want to look at a funky-nasty vacuum cleaner and junk)--- a couple chairs, Christmas decor OK--- but I could perceive that SOME residents could be problematic in this regard.

I've been here almost two months now. Val was very friendly and helpful from the start. I got to tour different units, and I was made aware of specials for each one. I applied for a prior renovated unit. Make sure you walk your unit and fill out the form the day you get your keys to promptly address any issues upon move in. Check your appliances, doors, locks, floors, walls, etc. I had a few issues with my unit, but they were documented on my move in condition form and addressed promptly. Everything was handled within a couple of days as I had to wait for something to be ordered, but everything else was same day. If an issue is not taken care of remind them as it's a new team and they are figuring things out. If they don't answer the phone (which happens often) email them or physically show up. The office is open 6 days a week. Landscaping is done every week, many of the potholes have been repaired, the grounds are usually pretty clean, the pool has been clean, the game room and gym are clean. Occasionally the laundry room needs cleaning, but that's from tenants throwing things on the floor instead of in the trash. That's not a front office issue. People need to clean up after themselves. We have trashcans for a reason. Dog poop stations are also available for people to clean up after their pets. I haven't seen any turds on the ground. Pest control is available if you find any unwanted guests. There are no package lockers, so send your packages to an off-site locker or make sure you get them from outside in a resonable amount of time. Get a camera if needed. I'm not aware of any events for residents, and I am unsure if there ever will be. Overall it's not a bad place to live. It's affordable living in Chandler close to many things. You can also use Flex if needed. The laundry room has a kiosk and a mobile app to conveniently pay for and monitor your laundry. They even have services for people who don't want to do their own laundry. The staff are still as friendly as they were on day one. The complex is under new management, so give them grace. Change doesn't always happen overnight.

I have been living here for five years and I do have to admit that the new manager and Cindy are truly the best that I have ever seen. A have seen a couple of managers and a lot of front end staff. The ladies that are there now are friendly and get the job done. Maintenance was horrible and it is starting to look promising. WHOO HOO! TO THE NEW MANAGER AND THE NEW TEAM BEHIND AND BESIDE HIM.

So far I like the Manager. Update. I like that it wasn’t complicated moving in. I like the coziness. They had pest control come out. The place has lots of potential. Starting with parking lot. If I was managing I would pave the parking lot. Power spray buildings . Add security gates. When new tenants move in I would caulk replace toilet seat. Paint. Clean air condition filters. Clean air vents appliances. As manager I would walk through the apartment for final inspection before new tenant move in. Hire security to come through several times at night. Being so close to downtown and the style of the apartments it would be well worth investment. Dog park laundry room pool and fitness room clean. I can see Artisan Downtown Chandler winning most improve apartment complex. Most affordable Apartment complex. Friendliest office staff award.

Moved here a little more than a year ago, the place has has several different owners, and somethings were changed… Pool has been significantly improved… the amenities are in need of improvement/replacements… like entrances to the gym/game room… we do not have seating in the grilling area, we bring our own chairs… we have a dog park, and doggie poop bags all around the complex, but some tenants do not pick up after their dogs…I myself have not had issues with bugs.. or anything of that sort… staff is very cordial and helpful… oh and some photos on here are not from 868 s Arizona’s complex Thank you

I toured this property a week ago. I was a little hesitant to tour due to some of the bad reviews. However, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Rosa, the leasing agent I toured with, was very friendly. The pool was clean and I could actually smell the chlorine. The inside of the apartments have nice upgrades. The 1 bedroom apartments are very tiny but if you live alone you could make it nice and cozy for yourself. The fitness room looked nice from the outside(I did not get to go inside). The complex needs a little tlc and cosmetic work, but you can tell the the new owners are making very nice changes. I pass by each day on my way home from work and can see the transformation. The only cons in my opinion are the wall unit a/c and the lack of balconies/patios. Overall, it is a nice complex and I am considering moving here :).

I moved in at the end of March and its a very quiet and peaceful property. It's nicely landscaped, grassy and pet friendly with dog waste stations throughout the property and a small dog park for pets. The laundry room is big and easy to use. The pool looks nice and inviting. The only big complaint I have is my assigned parking spot has been hijacked by someone else and I have told the office numerous times, I have left a note on the car to go to the office and get parking information and nothing changes. I haven't been able to use my assigned parking spot one time since moving in over a month ago. I'd like to be able to use it and if I can't, I'd like to have my rent price lowered for the lack of parking that comes with my payment each month. It's become highly frustrating that absolutely NOTHING has been done to this car taking my spot. I have provided make, model and plate number to the office and still every single day, it's parked in my assigned spot.

This property has some of the most friendly staff I’ve come across searching for an apartment. Cynthia, Lissette, Candi, and Val are always smiling when I come in. The office is welcoming and cheerful. The maintenance guys Juan and Jay are always busy keeping things running. I know new management just took over and already things are being done in a positive direction If you are looking for a apartment go check them out you won’t regret it

I think this is a little harsh. Everything takes time there's more management and they are trying I have been here 3 years I have never had a bad crime issues ,my bike was stolen. But I guess the person needed it more than me. I just wished they would fix the hottub it's been 3 years. They post that there are all these amenities but you can't access them. I hate the landscaper company cuts the bushes so low they are not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. But over all I like it here.

New beginnings I’ll let you know, ok so I have been here several months now, the community of people that I have I countered were friendly decent folks…for the most part …. We do have some neighbors who do not care about their surroundings and it reflex’s the rest of us by the Way garbage is deposited !! (That is everywhere you live), but..... We have new management at the Tides and I understand they are working to assist their residents…. But there are issues with payments of our rent especially for those on subsides…so make sure to inquire!! .…the complex is going through a process of repairs for tenants as well as renovations that are needed... It is a decent area, stores for Shopping, Food and other things are nearby and so is Medical facilities... Close to the 202 as well...

Can’t speak for the 1 star experiences because I’ve really had no issues to complain about. I have had nothing but good experiences with our leasing office and the complex amenities. The remodel of my unit is pretty legit and everything functions really well. I haven’t had any issues with bugs since moving in, the office stays in good communication with me, and most of the neighbors seem perfectly pleasant and just mind their business. After selling my house in Idaho, this was my first apartment I’ve ever rented and I’m glad to say that none of my worries about apartment living have come true. Helpful hint for the one star reviewers: Jackie & Nicole are really lovely and super easy to work with if you just talk to them and don’t give them an attitude about things they can’t fix! All I can say is they’ve done whatever they can to make the place easy to live in for me. Happy happy happy! EDIT: A year later and i still feel the same way! Although I have vacated as of now, I still love the office dearly and they took the best care of me while I lived here. I hope everyone is so lucky to have people like them!
